Friday May 22, 2020
Friday May 22, 2020
This week's episode features the best damn cover band in Maryland, Hot Tub Limo. I managed to get the "fourple" together on FaceTime for a chat. We discussed tales of whiskey, Key West, Pauly D and our mutual love of the band Biffy Clyro. If you stay tuned (or skip ahead) to the end, they pulled together and impromptu a capella rendition of a certain song...

This week's episode features a good friend of mine, Matt Benoliel, who supports the DMV music scene with his business The Stage 20 Agency. They put on music and sports events in the area. He is also helping manage my band. He's worked with some of what I consider to be the "allstars" of the Maryland music scene, including Bumpin' Uglies, Ballyhoo!, Joey Harkum, and others. So we talked about what he's been up to and what his plans are for the future. Below is his company's website.

This episode features an old friend, Joanna Tomassoni, who now lives in New Orleans and plays in a band called The Tumbling Wheels. They are an americana/folk/country band. They've released their second album on Bandcamp and are now releasing it on more platforms. Prior the stoppage they had a few tours and have been playing together for a number of years. Their first album remains in my CD rotation. In any case Joanna and I talked about what she's been up to during the quarantine, life/music in general, as well as the new album. Their song "Take Her Dancing" is featured at the end of the episode. Below is their band website where you can find their music.

Episode 15 features Matt Pless. I’ve looked up to him in the Folk Punk scene for a while now so it was cool to be able to talk to him for a bit. He happens to also be from the Baltimore area. In any case we talked about all things music and quarantine. He’s got some new music out and possibly even newer music coming. I’ve added his song “Ashtray” to the end of the podcast. Listed below is a link to his music.

Episode 13: Joey Harkum
Monday Apr 27, 2020
Monday Apr 27, 2020
My guest today is Baltimore music scene veteran Joey Harkum. He’s built a passinate following over the years both through his first band Pasadena as well as through his current solo project. He’s typically out of the road most of year playing all around North America and Europe. I definitely consider him an inspiration as songwriter and musician. He sings with passion and has plenty of stories to tell. At the end of the episode his new song "Burn It Down" is featured. I will also add some links to his music. In any case, gratitude and thanks to Joey for coming on.

Episode 12: Matt Harris
Friday Apr 24, 2020
Friday Apr 24, 2020
Welcome to episode to 12 with my long time friend Matt Harris. He’s currently playing in a GNR tribute called Ounce of Pain as well as cover bands by the names of Shelby Hotwire and The Rosin Creek Band out on the eastern shore of Maryland. I’ve played guitar in some of the bands with him off and on over the years. Matt can really shriek when it comes to singing. We had a good FaceTime chat about all sorts of things, including swimming with Michael Phelps, and his newly minted status as a dad. As always I did my best with the sound quality under the circumstances. Hopefully everyone is safe and sane out there. Have a good weekend.

Episode 10: Felix Nieto (Crashing Atlas/The Hollow Truths)
Friday Apr 17, 2020
Friday Apr 17, 2020
Welcome to episode 10 (a small accomplishment I suppose). Felix is a good friend of mine and happens to be playing bass in my band lately. He also recored our last EP Parasocial in his home studio. He’s been around the block as far as bands go. His last band Crashing Atlas had some success both online and playing/touring. Felix is also recorded the podcast theme song (thanks dude). In any case, he is very well spoken and was able to share some behind the scenes stuff both in reference to recording as well as playing.
