Episode 226 features Cameron Mae who is an indie/singer songwriter from Annapolis, MD. She has a few EPs out currently and is working on a full length 14 song album. In the interview we were also joined by her producer Daniel. Cam is still in high school so we talked a bit about that, as well as songwriting, and the Annapolis scene in general. We talked about the origins of the band, going to Ohio State, skateboarding, and songwriting. He primarily makes records and tapes for bands and he also has a 2 day indie music fest on October 13/14 featuring about 30 bands or so. On this episode I featured 2 bands from his label, one is called Split Silk and the song is called Ocean Heart. The other band is Morning Dew and the song is called D.R.E.A.M. Bonus episode this week with Eli Hunter from The Moongrove Music Festival in Mohnton, PA which is happening this weekend (July 21-23). This is his second spin on the show and I wanted to get him back on for a quick chat about this years fest. It’s a 3 day naturist fest featuring about 40 musical acts ranging from EDM, acoustic, bluegrass, reggae, and jam bands. Camping is available and tickets are still on sale, including at the door.
