Episode 262: Kelsey of MYM Visuals (Photographer) [Baltimore, MD]

Episode 262 features Kelsey from MYM Visuals. She is a music photographer in the Baltimore area who has worked with all types of bands and is currently shooting live shows all over the region. I wanted to have her on the pod because of our mutual background in the Fire Department and I wanted to help tell her story. Also, I aimed to release this episode this week in particular because I am dropping a new song today called '911,' which is highly personal and germane to our conversation. Episode 260: Amanda Grace (Singer/Songwriter) [Minnesota]

Episode 260 features Amanda Grace, a songwriter from Minnesota whose style drifts between folk, alt-pop/rock, and Americana. Amanda just released her eighth album called 'Give Me Away,' and I featured the title track as well as a song called 'The Last Ones,' which we discussed in our conversation. Episode 259: Man Must Explore (Alt Rock) [Albany, NY]

Episode 259 features Man Must Explore from Albany, NY. They are an alt-rock band who has been releasing music since 2021. In the interview, I spoke with Ryan & Thomas. They will be in town playing a show at The Undercroft in Baltimore this Thursday, April 4th, and we (The Hollow Truths) will be joining them on the bill as well as New Clarity & Makeup Girl. So, I wanted to get the guys on the show to talk about that, as well as their music in general. It was a fun conversation; we covered all the usual working musician topics, as well as a few other random things, such as our ideas on songwriting, our theories on Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd, and the importance of art in the modern age. The band name is taken from the words spoken by astronaut David Scott on the Apollo 15 mission: 'I sort of realize there’s a fundamental truth to our nature, Man Must Explore, and this is exploration at its greatest.' Episode 258: Jeremy Parsons (Singer/songwriter) [San Antonio, TX]

Episode 258 features Jeremy Parsons from San Antonio, TX, a country songwriter who first began releasing music in 2010. After living in Nashville for several years, Jeremy returned to Texas where he released his last album, ‘Things to Come,’ in 2021. It was added to a Spotify Editorial playlist, earning over 137,000 streams of the title track. I wanted to have Jeremy on the pod after serendipitously catching his set at a bar during SXSW in Austin last week. I really enjoyed his thought-provoking lyrics and the way his songwriting seemed to resonate with my own sensibilities. I specifically noticed his song “I Am” and featured it on this episode. In our conversation, we discussed the Nashville and Texas music scenes, overcoming addiction, as well as making a living as an artist. He’s also crossed paths with some notable names during his time in Nashville, which we also discussed. Episode 257: Adam Trice of Red Sammy (Americana Rock) [Baltimore, MD]

Their latest album, "Holy Fluorescent Light," has just been released.
