This week's episode features Nick DiPietro from The Vibesman. They are from the Baltimore area and describe their sound as a combination of reggae, rock, punk rock, funk, and hip-hop. They have a big show this Saturday night (7/31) at Baltimore Soundstage with Kyle Smith, The Harbor Boys, & Adam Almony. Nick is calling the show a record release party of sorts for their new album “Influence Of Sound.” The title track from the album is featured on this episode.

Episode 80: Marina Heath of Crashing Atlas

This week's episode features Marina Heath from Crashing Atlas. They are a DMV area rock band with a new album out called “Black Sky Sunrise.” I featured their song “Nothing Left” on this episode. Anyway Marina and I had a fun chat about some of the stories behind the songs, her background in singing, and a bunch of other random stuff. Marina is definitely a passionate signer and if you ever get a chance to see the band live I would definitely recommend it. Episode 79: Matt from WeatherAmes

Episode 79 features Matt from WeatherAmes. His band is basically folk/rock with a touch of Americana. I first became friends with him after a Futurebirds show here in Music City, Maryland (as they're now calling it). We had a fun chat about WeatherAmes music and some of the back stories behind the songs. Mike is basically the ringleader of the band and also a hell of a guitar player. We talked about all kinds of stuff from guitar players, touring, Atomic Music, hardcore back in the day, and also our mutual interest in hockey. Episode 75 features Gabo of Fayuca. They are a reggae/ska/punk/latin rock band out of Phoenix, Arizona. They have definitely been making a name for themselves in the reggae scene for the last 10 years or so. Gabo and I had a fun video chat on Facebook live and mostly talked about their new album that they’ve been working on. It sounds like the band is exploring a lot of new ideas for where they are taking their sound next. Episode 74: Donny Ingram of Dreamcatcher Studio

Episode 74 features Donny Ingram from Dreamcatcher Studios here in Baltimore, Maryland. Donny has done some mastering work for my band in the past and I wanted to try and get him some extra exposure because of how good he is at his craft. And funny enough I guess, I had never actually met him in person until we did this podcast episode. So it was fun to go over to his studio and pick his brain a little bit. We got along real well.
