Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Wednesday Jun 09, 2021
Episode 71 features Raul Bianchi of The Expendables who are a California Reggae Rock band located in the Santa Cruz area. They are a big staple of the genre and have been at it for about the last 20 years now. So it was certainly an honor to have Raul on the show talk to somebody who’s really been around the block as far as touring and working in the industry goes. The band’s song “Surfman Cometh” is featured on this episode. So definitely check it out if you’re into it. Whether you are friends or fans of Raul’s or The Expendables, hopefully you enjoy the interview. We just kinda talked about how the band got going, some of the bands they’ve been on the road with, and that kinda stuff. Thanks for listening and supporting local music. Hopefully you yourself are doing alright out there. Links Below.

This week's episode features Chris Granville from the Southern Maryland rock band Coast Is Clear. Chris is a 2nd time guest of the show and he is also in the band Stone Brew. The topic of this episode primarily focused on Roachfest 2021. Which is a Southern Maryland area metal/hard rock fest hosted by the band Roachzilla. Another former guest of the show. Both Chris and I will be attending this years festival (his bands will be playing/I'm part of the media line up). So I figure the least I can do is try and get the word out a little more about the date. Which is July 17th. You can find more info on Roachfest by searching for in on facebook and I will also add the event link in the show notes for this episode. A demo for a song called “Arrive” by Coast is Clear is featured on this episode.

Friday May 21, 2021
Friday May 21, 2021
Today's guest is Joey Mitchell. He’s currently the bassist for former guests of the show Joey Harkum and Ray Wroten. As well as Teen Mortage & Skribe among others. I've been seeing play around town here in the Baltimore are for a while now and I thought it would be cool to get him his own episode. I should also mention that Joey specializes in the upright bass which I feel kinda sets him apart. Anyway on this episode we’ll be debuting a new Joey Harkum song called “Lovin’ Arms.” Which is pretty rad. So gratitude and thanks to both Joey’s for sending that over. Harkum will be putting out a new acoustic album in ac couple months. And if you are friends of fans of theirs, I hope you dig it.

Episode 66: Charles Kavoossi
Saturday May 08, 2021
Saturday May 08, 2021
My guest today is Charles Kavoossi. He is local musician, singer, songwriter in the Annapolis area. He’s got a new song out called “Hatteras.” Which is featured on this episode. In any case, I’ve been looking forward talking to Kavoossi for a while now because he’s a fairly prominent piece of the local scene here in Maryland. And I think for anyone out there listening who’s trying to support your scene as well, he’s a great of example of how to do it. He also does video work for bands and plays guitar for a local legend around here by the name of Joey Harkum. His new song is listed below.

He’s been working on a solo album for a while now and is finally releasing some a new song called "I Cant Say". Which is featured on this episode. Luke’s album has been in the works now for a couple years. I’ve been razzing him about taking his time on it but I know a lot of people are looking forward to his new songs. So hopefully you dig it. I know Luke is excited to finally get em out there. I figured I’d get him back on the show. We are also playing a show together soon may 8th at fish head cantina here in Baltimore (as The Hollow Truths). So we talked a little about that. Luke will be on the drum kit for my band that night. Episode 64: Top Dead Center
Tuesday Apr 27, 2021
Tuesday Apr 27, 2021
Episode 64 features my guests Matt, Nick, and Tom from Top Dead Center. They are a local maryland rock cover band. They were gracious enough to invite my band The Hollow Truths to join forces with them May 8th, 2021 for a show at Fish head Cantina. So well got together the other night to talk about the show and what all they’ve been up to as a band. After meeting up with them I can safely say they are tight knit group. In the best way. I think in a lot of ways good bands are as much like gangs as they are musicians.
So yeah hopefully you yourself are doing alright out there. Staying safe and sand and all that stuff. As always thanks for listening and supporting local music. We all appreciate it. Feel free to subscribe or follow the podcast wherever you may be streaming. It always helps broaden the reach a little. But other than that, there are t-shirts available via messaging through the facebook or insta pages. Hopefully this episode finds you well. But yeah, if you're in the Baltimore are May 8th and wanna see a rock show feel free to come out for a beer or two.
