Episode 92: P-Funk North (Dave Sloyan)
Thursday Oct 28, 2021
Thursday Oct 28, 2021
This week’s guest is Dave Sloyan from the New Jersey reggae rockers P-Funk North. The band name is a reference to North Plainfield, NJ which is their hometown. They’ve been fortunate enough to share the stage with Rebelution, Badfish, Ballyhoo, Bumpin’ Uglies, Trpodelic, and many more. Dave and I had a fun conversation about what the band has been up to lately. Their next show is November 4th at the Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ with Cloud9 Vibes, Reggae Lou & the Kind Buds and LNJ Sessions. Their song “All My Hero’s Are Potheads” is featured on this episode. Check it out on Spotify or Apple Music if you dig it.

We had a fun conversation about all their songs and their style of music. I featured their song “Lampkin Lane” on this episode. It is a halloween inspired tune which you can find it on Spotify or wherever you listen to music.

Episode 90: LJR Part V
Friday Oct 15, 2021
Friday Oct 15, 2021
Today’s guest is with my longtime friend, drummer, and general creative Luke Justin Roberts, or LJR, as he now goes by for his solo music. This is his 5th time on the show. We tend to catch up once in a while since it seems like he’s always up to one new thing or another. Luke had a particularly gnarly ATV wreck over the summer, so we talked about that and his subsequent recovery from it. As well as his new music video course that he just released called The Music Video Accelerator. Which is now the podcast’s first official sponsor. He’ll also be drumming with my ban at our next show October 23rd at Zen West with The Hollow Truths. So whether you are friends or fans of Luke’s, or you came here from the syndicate, hopefully you enjoy our conversation. Luke’s always an effervescent personality for sure. His new song "Need A Little Lovin" is featured on this episode. Thanks for listening and supporting local music.

Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
This week's guest is Jake Stein of the band WRNG HAUS from Portland, Oregon. He describes his music as sort of "groovy & catchy pop propelled by a rhythm section tight as synchronized swimmers." And from listening to his stuff I’d say that’s pretty accurate. Jake’s song “That Kind of Life” is featured on this episode. So if you like it definitely go check it out on Spotify or where you prefer to listen to music.

Thursday Aug 19, 2021
Thursday Aug 19, 2021
Today's guest is Ray Harkins of the 100 words or less podcast. I’ve been a fan of his show for a little while now and figured I’d see if I could get him on here for a little collaborative type of episode. His show focuses on mostly metal and hardcore musicians around the world. So if you are looking for a new podcast to add to your music rotation definitely check it out. By the sound of it Ray’s been running his podcast for the about last 9 years and is about 400 episodes deep now. He also has a band called “Taken” which has a new EP out called “Without Regard To.” The album delves into his wife’s battle with cancer, which thankfully she is now in remission from. I featured his song “Regret" on this episode.

Thursday Aug 12, 2021
My guest today is Kobe from Tales of The Tunes. Another local music and arts podcast here in Baltimore, Maryland. We recorded this episode a couple weeks ago or so. I first noticed his podcast online and hit him to see if he wanted to do a collaboration type episode. So what we did was we recorded our conversation in two halves. The first half being this episode. And the next half being a Tales of The Tunes Episode. Both are being released today. You can hear the other half of the this interview at Tales of The Tunes Podcast.
