Episode 92: P-Funk North (Dave Sloyan)

This week’s guest is Dave Sloyan from the New Jersey reggae rockers P-Funk North. The band name is a reference to North Plainfield, NJ which is their hometown. They’ve been fortunate enough to share the stage with Rebelution, Badfish, Ballyhoo, Bumpin’ Uglies, Trpodelic, and many more. Dave and I had a fun conversation about what the band has been up to lately. This week's episode features Glen and Shaina from the Baltimore area band Luridinn. I’m playing a show with them this weekend along side Shangrila and Analog. Episode 90: LJR Part V

Today’s guest is with my longtime friend, drummer, and general creative Luke Justin Roberts, or LJR, as he now goes by for his solo music. This is his 5th time on the show. Episode 85: Adam Almony

This week's guest is Adam Almony. He’s a local artist here in the Baltimore area with a brand new song out today called “Just Breath.” Adam's been doing the reggae rock thing here for a little while now and recently worked with Howi Spangler of Ballyhoo! to produce the new songs. He's also been getting out there this summer playing shows and opening for the likes of Bumpin Uglies and Kyle Smith at the Recher and Soundstage respectively. We talked about all kinds of stuff including Adam’s creative process, his work/life balance with his family, athletics, singing, and some stuff from his past as well. Episode 84: Ray Harkins of 100 Words Or Less Podcast

Today's guest is Ray Harkins of the 100 words or less podcast. I’ve been a fan of his show for a little while now and figured I’d see if I could get him on here for a little collaborative type of episode. His show focuses on mostly metal and hardcore musicians around the world. So if you are looking for a new podcast to add to your music rotation definitely check it out. By the sound of it Ray’s been running his podcast for the about last 9 years and is about 400 episodes deep now. He also has a band called “Taken” which has a new EP out called “Without Regard To.” The album delves into his wife’s battle with cancer, which thankfully she is now in remission from. I featured his song “Regret" on this episode.

My guest today is Kobe from Tales of The Tunes. Another local music and arts podcast here in Baltimore, Maryland. We recorded this episode a couple weeks ago or so. I first noticed his podcast online and hit him to see if he wanted to do a collaboration type episode. So what we did was we recorded our conversation in two halves. The first half being this episode. And the next half being a Tales of The Tunes Episode. Both are being released today.
