I met him the other weekend at Harper’s Ferry Brewing. By the sound of it Andrew’s been playing all over the DMV and a little bit out west as well. He’s one of the few folk/bluegrass guests I’ve had on the show thus far. So we talked about that as well as all the the stuff he’s been up to. So whether you are friends or fans of his hopefully you enjoy the interview. Andrew has some shows coming up where you can see him play (listed below). I also featured a live recording of Rock Creek Revival on this episode. As always thanks for listening and thanks for supporting local music.

Tuesday Nov 02, 2021
Tuesday Nov 02, 2021
This week’s guest is Brendan Clarke from the Baltimore area band Old Eastern. They have a new album out called “On The Rocks” and their song “Anna Lee” is featured on this episode. The band self-describes their sound as “Whiskey Rock.” If you like their music you can find them wherever you stream music. Brendan and I had a fun conversation about what the band has been up to over the years and the recording process for the latest album. It also turns out that Old Eastern has their very own signature beer brewed by Mobtown Brewing here in Baltimore City. You can follow Old Eastern on any of the socials to keep tabs on their upcoming dates. Their next show in the city is at Full Tilt Brewing on November 13th. And they also have a big show in December at The Recher with former guest of the show Wills Sims.

Episode 90: LJR Part V
Friday Oct 15, 2021
Friday Oct 15, 2021
Today’s guest is with my longtime friend, drummer, and general creative Luke Justin Roberts, or LJR, as he now goes by for his solo music. This is his 5th time on the show. We tend to catch up once in a while since it seems like he’s always up to one new thing or another. Luke had a particularly gnarly ATV wreck over the summer, so we talked about that and his subsequent recovery from it. As well as his new music video course that he just released called The Music Video Accelerator. Which is now the podcast’s first official sponsor. He’ll also be drumming with my ban at our next show October 23rd at Zen West with The Hollow Truths. So whether you are friends or fans of Luke’s, or you came here from the syndicate, hopefully you enjoy our conversation. Luke’s always an effervescent personality for sure. His new song "Need A Little Lovin" is featured on this episode. Thanks for listening and supporting local music.

Episode 86: Jake Stein of WRNG HAUS
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
This week's guest is Jake Stein of the band WRNG HAUS from Portland, Oregon. He describes his music as sort of "groovy & catchy pop propelled by a rhythm section tight as synchronized swimmers." And from listening to his stuff I’d say that’s pretty accurate. Jake’s song “That Kind of Life” is featured on this episode. So if you like it definitely go check it out on Spotify or where you prefer to listen to music.
