Episode 342 features Chris Brackney of Glencoe, an indie singer-songwriter from Michigan. I talked to him earlier this year. He explained that his moniker comes from “my grandpa, who was from Scotland and rode his bike through the Glencoe hills.” We discussed his song Chicago in October, which is featured in this episode, as well as some of his musical influences, many of which overlap with my own. Episode 334: Mat Leffler-Schulman (Grammy Nominated Mastering Engineer) [Baltimore]

Episode 334 features Mat Leffler-Schulman, a Baltimore-based Grammy-nominated mastering engineer. He works with artists across the country and around the world, including all of my music with The Hollow Truths. I’ve been meaning to have him on for a long time—not only to learn more about mastering in general, but also to talk about our new music. It was a fun, in-depth conversation about both Mat’s life and work, as well as some valuable insights into the mastering process. If you need your music mastered, Mat is definitely the guy. He's an award winning producer based in the Baltimore area, and if you're a local musician, you might already know him or have recorded with him. His state-of-the-art setup at The Deep End has a killer vibe and a massive live room. A multi-instrumentalist who has rocked major festivals, Tony is also the 2024 Maryland Music Award winner for "Best Music Producer." He's a mentor, a Recording Academy voter, and even invented his own patented mics! This is Tony's second time on the show, but our first in-person chat. We dove into his approach to bringing out the best in artists, both sonically and personally. It was one of the most fun conversations I've had on the pod so far; I hope you find it informative or entertaining, or both!
