Episode 152: Matthew Edward Butterfly - The Pasadena Band (Rap/rock) [Maryland]

Episode 152 features Mattew Edward of The Pasadena Band. They have been a staple in Maryland for well over a decade and have been releasing music since 2008. Matthew has also recently been releasing his own music under the stage name Mattew Edward Butterfly. I dropped the links to his stuff in the episode description. We had a fun conversation about Pasadena’s start back in the day, Joey Harkum, Matt’s input on songwriting, and also touched on some of the recent reunion shows that the guys have been doing. Episode 151: Real Fake Flowers (Nate & Kiffer) {Indie Rock} [New Jersey]

Episode 151 continues with another artist from line up for the festival this weekend. Real Fake Flowers are an indie rock duo based out of New Jersey. They dabble in pop, rock, rap, & jazz for formulate their sound and their lyrics touch on themes surrounding mental health. I spoke with Nate and Kiffer in our conversation. Episode 150: The Hollow Truths (Brett & Will) {Baltimore, MD} [Alt Rock]

This week’s episode features my band The Hollow Truths. My bandmate Will Cole & I had a fun conversation the other day at brewery about our upcoming festival for the podcast. Which is coming up this Saturday in Lancaster, PA at Phantom Power. Featuring a bunch of my friends bands and other musicians from around PA/Philly area. We also talked about songwriting and some of the general things we’ve been working on in the band world. I never thought I’d be keeping this thing going this long but it’s been fun to watch it grow and try to help out the scene as much as I can. Episode 149: Carter Fox (Electronic/Experimental) [Philadelphia]

Episode 149 features Carter Fox from Philadelphia. He is a bassist and electronic musician who I found via a former guest of the show, Mr. Eli Hunter of Moongroove Fest. Episode 145: Gavin & Mason of Providence (Blues Rock) [Lynchburg,VA]

This week’s episode features the Lynchburg, VA based band Providence. They are a Christian blues rock band who say they derive their sound from bands such Led Zeppelin and Cream. I spoke with Gavin and Mason in the interview. The band has a new EP out called 425-B and I featured two of the songs on this episode.
