Episode 37: Teen Mortgage

 

Episode 37 features James and Ed from Teen Mortgage. They are a local band from Baltimore. They have a skate punk/stoner rock sound. They remind me a lot of my favorite Californian punk band Fidlar. They will be featured on the soundtrack of the new season of Shameless when that comes out. Their song Falling Down is featured at the end of this episode and you can find it wherever you listen to music. This interview went a little longer than normal since Ed and James were gracious enough to come over and chat in person. I did my best to smooth it out editing wise. James and Ed and I got to talking about all things music and how they met. We learned some english slang, talked about skateboarding, and even got into their dubious and brief connection with the pizza gate conspiracy on reddit. They are in fact on king pizza records incidentally.  I should say there is spoiler alert when I mentioned the movie midsummer. Thanks for listening and thanks for supporting local music.
