Episode 259: Man Must Explore (Alt Rock) [Albany, NY]

Episode 259 features Man Must Explore from Albany, NY. They are an alt-rock band who has been releasing music since 2021. In the interview, I spoke with Ryan & Thomas. They will be in town playing a show at The Undercroft in Baltimore this Thursday, April 4th, and we (The Hollow Truths) will be joining them on the bill as well as New Clarity & Makeup Girl. So, I wanted to get the guys on the show to talk about that, as well as their music in general. It was a fun conversation; we covered all the usual working musician topics, as well as a few other random things, such as our ideas on songwriting, our theories on Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd, and the importance of art in the modern age. The band name is taken from the words spoken by astronaut David Scott on the Apollo 15 mission: 'I sort of realize there’s a fundamental truth to our nature, Man Must Explore, and this is exploration at its greatest.'
